My funny ,Most memorable bridesmaid experience.

I remember clearly last year April , i got a call from My Aunty telling me "my uncle is getting married " i was like "which uncle ? " she said uncle tope is getting married o . Apparently thats her son . Although I had never met him at that time, I was happy sha that means Owambe party ;). She also said i get to be part of the bridal train as the bridesmaid.  I was happy o , Anyways i had exams at that time so i couldn't go to the tailor's place to check my dress . Id sent my measurements to the tailor and my plan was on that day ,id get to the church early so i could change to my bridesmaids dress .
Finally, The day arrived May 9th . I wasnt early enough to the church because i had to get my make up done . I sha got there ,took the dress and went to change ,To say i was utterly disappointed with the dress is an understatement . It was a blue dress ,actually a good design but i had one problem with this dress and i should have expected something like this because well,"Nigerian tailors " can like to overdo . The problem i had with this dress is that the tailor decided to put breast pad for me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜©. I was angry like" who sent this one abeg " i had to complain to her amd she was like because they told her i was 15  so the dress would have fitting blah blah thats why she put it . Anyways there was nothing i could do . My chest was looking like "balloon " πŸ˜‚πŸ˜,i wore the dress like that got in the church and sat with the other bridesmaids.
Fastforward to after church, we took pictures and all and then entered car to go to reception at ikeja . When i was in the car ,i told the other bridesmaids about my dress and the unnecessary breast pad, the girls were like is that the only problem with mine and i said yes.  They were like atleast i could go home and remove it and wear again but theirs were tight and one of the girls had to use a safety pin on her dress πŸ˜‚.  Mine was the only one that had a minor problem .
On our way to ikeja, there was traffic so the driver said he knew a shortcut to take us to reception on time.  We didn't mind.  On getting to our shortcut the traffic was far worse than the normal route . Then the bride called saying she's already there ,asking for our location.the driver talked  to her and said we are almost there . One hour later ,still stuck in traffic ,even the groomsmen that were following us from church were already at the reception. So since they were calling because the couple couldn't enter without us we decided to WALK there😭 so we had to remove our heels and since we didn't have slippers we walked barefoot on Express ! You should have seen people saying  "ah,sorry o","eyaa" your dress is touching ground" and it rained earlier that day . I was embarrased but it was funny. We saw a man trying to take a photo of us,see the way we ran forward, who knows whether the man works with a Newspaper and we'd see our photos on the headlines 😩. Finally cars begun to move and the driver caught up with us . The driver na did as if he didn't see us ,he was probably vexed that we left him in the car or so idc. He later stopped to pick us after making us run and everybody was looking at us 😭. After ten minutes, we got to the reception. Glory be to God,but No my story doesn't stop here .
After we danced in ,we decided to go get food. That's how one lady came to meet me and said her "boss" wants to see me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I told the other bridesmaids what the lady said and i told the woman that im busy and i want to eat .she left told me her boss is sitting under one place . I laughed and ate my food . My mum na told me to drop something in the car
And as i was going ,some of the groomsmen were calling me ,i didn't answer they were not handsome 😊 and they were prolly too old for me . I kept on hearing my name but i didn't look back ,assuming it was them . Only for me to hear my dad say "moyin, are you deaf ?"πŸ˜‚πŸ˜. I turned and i saw my dad ,chai and the groomsmen were now laughing.  Anyways, i still didn't answer them, i only talked to one cos he was good looking and a gentleman.  I was helping the bride change to her reception dress , when i came out only for me to see this same lady saying her boss wants to see me , i ignored her only for the woman to start pulling me . I quickly pulled away and walked fast to the hall . I ate ,danced took pictures and the rest of the wedding went well but the wedding is not something that i can easily forget. Oh and i met my "uncle tope" that day .πŸ˜….

That's my funny experience 😊

UCHE'S STORY.

Its a Wednesday night, the Ha rmattan fills the whole room, the noise from the kitchen radio awakes my thoughts and I look up at the wall clock and see that its almost 8 p.m. my husband, Richard would soon be back home and my darling daughter Adaeze. I instantly rise walking briskly to the kitchen, today I am going to prepare Adaeze’s favorite meal, garri with melon soup. I always save some leftover melon soup in the freezer just in case Adaeze wants to eat. I bring it out from the fridge , poured it into the pot and added water, then its time to make the garri. The volume of the radio was a bit high, as the man shouting 'VOTE APC' rang in my ears , I turned it off either because the volume was too high or because I didn't want to hear anything about voting. I realised long ago that this country belonged to a few people ,I am just  not one of them;I am a stranger here. I quickly make the garri and checked if the soup tasted right and it did. I decided to call Adaeze to kno...

Friendship

People who know me personally know I'm not so good with the friendship thing.  I don't believe in having a best friend and all or in this "squad thing " I prefer being my own squad . Although  I actually had a "best friend once " but that was in junior school. I met this my friend in basic 7 ,she was quiet and shy just like me and we became good friends . Later on,we found out that both our dads were good friends and even attend the same church lol.We became close and then she became my best friend, this my friend was very nice to me ,whenever I needed anything I could run to her for help, especially when i needed to get an assignment done. Fast forward to basic 9, we weren't in the same class but "nothing could stop our friendship ' thats what i thought, her class became my second class because whenever I was free I was there , I think I was in basic 9 topaz and she was in basic 9 gold .      Although I was frequently going to meet her,she ...

Four things I've learnt from the movie;Alice through the looking glass.

After slipping through a mirror, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) finds herself back in Underland with the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Her friends tell her that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is in a funk over the loss of his family. Hoping to save  his loved ones, Alice steals the Chronosphere from Time (Sacha Baron Cohen) to travel into the past. While there, she encounters the younger Hatter and the evil Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter). Hey guys ,recently my friends and i watched this movie:Alice through the looking glass .it's very interesting and funny too . If you haven't watched it yet,you should check it out P.s (it's not a babyish movie but its a disney movie ). Anyways, I've decided to share what i learnt from the movie . 1. Nothing is impossible.  2. Do not let anyone look down on you because you're female . Alice was the first female captain to lead the ship safely.  3.Never let go of your fami...
